CAN I WRAP DIFFERENT SIZE BOXES WITH THE SAME MACHINE?

Let's say you have different box sizes for your products and you want them all over wrapped with clear poly film with neatly folded corners and you only have one machine in your budget. Sounds tought but it's really not. There are three basic ways to accomplish this with the Xopax wrapping machine.

1. Because each size box usually requires a different film width one could purchase a roll of film specifically for each box. In order to change from one size to the next it would require changing the film roll. While this task is super easy on our machines it does take a few minutes. If you plan on eventually wrapping several thousand of each size you can justify the cost of a roll of film and the time it takes to change the film, then it is best to have a roll for each size that you have. You can even buy an extra media shaft for each size and save time on the film roll change. We see this done frequently in the CD duplication and DVD duplication business where they have two sizes and usually do at least 100 for each wrapping job.
2. In the above case where the user has two sizes to deal with it is possible to load both sizes on the same machine. In the example of the optical disc business above it would require the PXC20 and a Dual Roll Setup Kit in order to make this work. This is an extremely efficient way to handle this particular scenario and very popular within this industry.
3. In cases where the total volume of each box is low and the number of different sizes is high then the Cutter Assembly becomes an excellent choice. With this option you can trim any size you want "on the fly". Changing film size is as simple as sliding this assembly to a new spot on the required Accessory Bar. This will take just a few seconds to accomplish and you are back to wrapping. This does waste a certain amount of consumables so this fact should be taken into consideration when choosing which option to pursuit. Well, sit back and relax because your troubles are over. Introducing the
all new Cutter Assembly from Xopax. Made of solid aluminum and
designed to use easy to find razor blades make this a "must have" for
anyone who has multiple size boxes and needs to change from one size
to another quickly.

While engineering this tool we knew that safety was a huge concern.
Please note the blade is pointed away from the operator and that
changing its position is easily done with the thumb screw located at the
top of the tool. When not in use the assembly can be easily store at one
end of the utility bar with the blade pointed in a safe direction.
