Operators Tips and Questions

Is it possible to burn yourself on the heat panel or cutting wire?
Yes, be careful.

What is the film made of?
The technical description is BOPP. Check our Film Specifications page for more detailed information.

How many boxes can I wrap per hour?
This really depends on what you are wrapping and how good you are at it. Our experienced wrappers can consistently wrap 250 DVD boxes per hour. CD jewel boxes are slower because of their thin profile. Large cube shaped boxes are also a bit slower.
Troubleshooting

I'm getting frustrated! How do I know I'm on the right track?
First let's make sure everything is set up properly. Please watch this video to learn what the tension should look like and adjust if necessary. This makes the biggest impact.

When I turn on the machine, the wire starts to get wavy and isn't tight.
Sometimes the wire curls on start up. It should straighten out once the machine is fully heated, about 5 or 10 minutes. If you find the wire is still loose and not cutting easily, this video will show you how to tighten it up.
